"community spirit is a group of musicians and producers making electronic music. all track contributions horns, percussion, vocals,samples or whatever - channel through a studio in the heart of london's soho, where tracks are recorded, mixed and mastered. the tracks are a mixture of live recordings, mixed with programmed and sampled sounds, and incorporate the influences and spirit of each of the musicians we are fortunate enough to work with, creating a sound that is greater than the sum of its parts. the tracks evolve over a long period of time and are very 'produced' : we consider the production process to be as important as the playing, and we spend a lot of time moulding and refining our recordings in the studio. community is made up of many artists and musicians from all over the world and with many different musical influences, but with the same purpose making music"
