Roland From Poland, aka London born, Bristol bred Tim Taylor,
is one half of pioneering early 90s duo Earth Beat Synphonic,
who relocated
to a studio near Gdansk for three years, returning to England
via Sweden to
release the album Baltic Beats on Mouse Records of
Bristol, to critical acclaim from
James Lavelle, Mr Scruff, Massive Attack and a discerning UK music
press, attracting
airplay from the likes of Virgin Radio, Kiss FM and BBC Radio
1 and notching up sales
from London to Tokyo. Asylum Seeker, released in 2003
by Green Lung Productions,
maintains the trademark of finely crafted beats and cinematic
production, visiting
planet drum and bass, garage, breakbeat, hip hop and IDM, featuring
contributions
from Ray Manzareks horn player, Bal, jazz pianist Marcin
Wasilewski and a shed
load of found sound, speech samples and bass.
