Deluded Swinger CD-Cover Fiddle In Public Cat No. - Ind 4 CD Price-£3
Deluded Swinger are an unsigned indie-punk three-piece from Dunstable. Previous incarnations of the band include The Streakers and Indras Net. After several line-up changes the band consists of Stuart Johnson on vox and guitar, Ben Sygrove on bass guitar and backing vox, and Ryan Majchrowski completes the line-up on the drums. The band met at Upper school and have been friends for years. The idea for the band came from its members worship of guitar-based music particularly the likes of Placebo, The Offspring and New Order. Their first home-produced EP Danger Fire Kills Children was passed around by friends who encouraged Deluded Swinger to tour the local area. Gigs at a number of major local venues have secured the band a loyal and vibrant fan-base, and a recent trip into the studio to produce their current Fiddle in Public EP will hopefully secure even more support. The band have a full-time lighting technician and consider their live show to be a key part of their music. Shows to date have seen strobe-bollards, bubble machines pointed at the mosh-pit and their signature toy trumpet, along with dancing roadies. Fans of the band are always guaranteed an interesting show. Reviewers have cited Deluded Swingers style as Neo-punk, Grunge and Hyperactive indie but the bands diverse cross-generic sound defies definition. One of the bands best qualities is that its music is very unique, yet it retains a huge melodic edge that draws fans of drum and bass and nu-metal alike. The band continually work on new material and hope to return to the studio later in the year.
