Silicon Sun..

Silicon Sun are currently a 4 piece band playing mainly indie/stoner rock but also many genres of popular music such as ska, garage, metal, funk and blues. 2 of the members, the guitarist/vocalist and drummer formed the band from the ashes of their original band The 16 bit Consoles in February 2004 at an old bed and breakfast house in the shitty city of Southsea, Portsmouth, UK with life in general, sex, drugs and rock and roll on thier minds. As soon as possible they got help from good friend Chaz John Ross from a damn good Portsmouth band called Beatrimes (now known as FLESH) to come up with some bass lines, until a surfing buddy who was up for playing bass came along and joined the ranks for good. He could play guitar, but had only just picked up the bass...wasn't long until he had learnt to play all the basslines with the help of a recorded demo! After about 6-7 months of gigs, jams and good laughs together, the 3 piece band thought hard and decided they needed a number 4,another guitarist to make things easier and more thought provoking. So out of pure coincidence, they met this guitarist and tried him out for an unofficial gig at Portsmouth labour club...they well and truly and metaphorically speaking, made the place go up in flames! Their main influences are System of A Down, Stone Temple Pilots, Stone Roses, Led Zeppelin and Kyuss.
