Since he began playing
and singing in 1981, Keith Eskew has performed at cafes, fairs,
churches, schools, nursing homes, nightclubs, hospitals, weddings,
battlefield memorials, hotels and homeless shelters. Now,
in "All Things Without Desire", his first studio recording
in seventeen years, Eskew bridges the gap between the contemplative
philosophy of the East and Western folk rock that came
to prominence in the Sixties and was taken up again by the singer-songwriters
of the Nineties.
Married since 1990, Keith Eskew and wife Amy have "two
beautiful children that look like Victorian dolls". In
the aftermath of September 11, Eskew feels that the best way
ensure a peaceful future, if not the survival of our species,
is finding the best in all cultures without surrendering our
unique identities.
