Ripe successors to Garbage, The Cardigans and Saint Etienne, London-based
four-piece Frankie write songs that hit you square-on with infectious
tunes, seductive feline vocals and stylish hooks. The love-child
of Kate Bush and David Bowie, Frankie recently swept the boards
at the Trimis International Music Festival in Bologna, Italy,
winning the awards for Best Band, Best International Band and
Best Vocalist. They gig regularly in London at the Marquee, Borderline,
Garage, Barfly, Water Rats, Cargo and Metro where they recently
supported Alfie. They have played In the City, Manchester, and
have recently been invited to M.E.A.N.Y. FEST 2005, New York.
The band is rapidly spreading the airwaves of college radio stations
in both the UK and USA and recently featured on Pulse Unsigned’s
‘A-list’ and ‘Hot Trax’ radio shows which
attract over 2 million listeners a month. Their EPs ‘Frankie’
and ‘Keeping On’ are widely available through overplay.com,
towerrecords.com and cdbaby.com. They also have a digital distribution
deal with The Orchard / Turmic Records.
