The Erin Bardwell Collective is a gathering of musicians and singers based in the South West of England. The date of establishment is slightly vague but it probably began around about late 2001. They specialise in reggae influenced music and focus it around studio projects and live shows. It is a fairly new venture bringing together many artists who have previously been involved in a number of different bands. Keyboard player and songwriter Erin Bardwell is the main instigator, and he directs the whole project. The independent record label, Pop-A-Top Records, have released an album by The Erin Bardwell Collective celebrating this exciting mix of talent. It is simply called Volume One (PATCD01). Special guest on this 13 track album is trumpeter Colin Berry who has previously worked with Courtney Pine and Bitty Mclean. The ITV music programme “Earshot” ran a feature on the group last year. A new Erin Bardwell Collective album is currently being worked on, which the release of will coincide with more live dates and other promotions.
