Chasing Indiana formed in February 2004 in the seaside resort on the east coast of England, Southend-On-Sea. After being in bands together since the age of 15 high school buddies Graham and Ollie met Dave at a part-time job in a supermarket who introduced them to his friend Laurence. The band moulded instantly and Chasing Indiana was born after years of frustration for Graham and Ollie in finding a consistent line-up. Graham began writing, taking influence from some of his heroes including Blink-182, Good Charlotte, Jimmy Eat World and The Ramones. His formula for writing catchy pop-punk songs found a new twist as the then 17-year old put an edge to the music. Razor-sharp lyrics combined with infectious melodies and hooks make Chasing Indiana one of the most refreshing bands on the local scene. In September 2004 the band put together their first EP Music To Make Girls Cry under the guidance of Mike Spink (JJ72, Ash) and this Summer they head back into the studio to record their eagerly anticipated sophomore effort. Be sure to catch C I at a live show if you can. The band boast to never having turned down a gig and regularly play their local scene (including a recent support slot with fast-rising punks The Fight), also venturing into London. It is hard to believe each member of this band is a mere 18 years old, with confidence and youthful exuberance prevailing each time they perform. Chasing Indiana combine style, raw passion and irresistible hooks. They are worth the hype…!
