And get the job he thinks he deserves; Watch him travel the United Kingdom in one week, in the ultimate road movie, In this heartbreaking documentary he quits his job at the local newspaper and hits the road with young filmmaker Jamie Mendonca to 'record history'. And become famous, at any cost. Day one very little happens, Douglas try’s to find that interview, in the Wirral of all places, all he finds is a Dog and a lost couple from Tasmania, Day Two is just as bad, after waking up after a night sleeping in a car he waters all over a badger then makes a fool of himself at a skateboard park in Southport, Douglas doesn’t get it, he’s just not hip, so desperate times calls for desperate measures Over the next four days we watch him descend into chaos, he offends people. We see him investigate ghosts and werewolves. Watch him perform the biggest hoax in British history. See him dance with Jamie in the middle of Skipton, and walk around a hotel at night, in his pyjamas, not for the faint hearted. And ask the burning question on the lips off all that live in Blackpool, what would you do if a giant seagull stole the Blackpool tower. The journey ends at Fleet Street, London, where he is going to impress all those big newspapers. They might be impressed, but not necessarily for the right reasons...
