THE PITCH
Four friends, one addiction, one dream, one last job�
"Sleeping with fishes, that�s all I was ever doing, they'll feast on me now"

The stories protagonist is Keith and follows how his addictions spirals his life and those of the three �low crime� friends out of control.  Set in South London over 32hours we follow Keith�s desperation for money to pay debts and this addiction begins to ruin the lives those he has cares for.

Keith, owes �20,000 to Terri Grantham after a game of cards and has 32hours to pay, he has an addictive relationship with his girlfriend of three years, a prostitute, Carla, with her own addiction, heroin. They both wish and dream of somewhere new.

Matt, is married to Keith�s sister Shauna, he longs to own his own music business but the banks wont give him a loan, she will leave him if they don�t secure the money.

Henry, is fresh out of prison and hasn�t seen his kids for eight years, he wishes to own his own boat and sail away. He phones his daughters number daily but cannot speak to her, he picks up Homeless Girls acting as a surrogate father for his personal guilt.

Sean, obsessed and wired, abusive both mentally and psychically to his girlfriend Katie a photographer, sees himself as a British gangster in the mould of the films he is obsessed about.

It follows the relationships between these four men and each of there own separate problems at home with female partners and financial crossroads straining their friendships. Like Michael Mann�s Heat in script style of cutting from one relationship to the other, their personal needs bring them together as the script reaches it climax to secure each of their dreams through doing one last job together.

Three outside characters from these core relationships are - the female matriarch Terri Grantham, who Keith owes the money too, Keith�s Mum whom is dying from her own addiction of alcohol and McQueen an addicted gambler and suspended police officer. They interact as outside forces that motivate the narrative from Keith�s point of view. McQueen, in six figures of debt, soon becomes embroiled in blackmailing Keith to save his own neck financially.

It plays like a clam before the storm over the ocean as the day and addictions progress the storm worsens until in the final third of the script the storm is over the ocean and the once silent waves are now crashing dangerously towards our eyes as they do the job and its aftermath effects them all.
